On the eve of Sister's Day

Hmm, it happened when I was in my +2. As usual we went to college on the Raakhi Day (Yeah, students presence was very less on that day). After all the hype about Raakhi Day, che not even a single soul is willing to tie Raakhi to the guys. Though we were all relieved @ that time, I think none of us were worth enough to get a bro-sis bond.
Then, after Chemistry class we had free time. All of the sudden, our hero, got up, went to this girl n asked her in his squeaky voice - "Hi, pls tie this raakhi to me". The girl, who had secured First place in Class X exams and possible Rank holder for that year's exam, got shocked. He repeated again... She did not say anything, just tied the raakhi n kept quiet. He opened his jaggy money purse which he brought from one of his friend & gave her Rs. 11.00. Though she refused initially, she took. Kaam Khatam. After that they hardly spoke. He was very happy - "Hey, nan raakhi sister, SSLC nalli idi Taluq ge First gottaa" ... :-))
The river in Kapila did not stop flowing n so did the life of these two so-called bro-sis. After one year, he was standing in front of her house with his friend discussing a particular math problem. It was April 1st. (Yeah, Fools Day). She got to listen that problem. Called our guy n discussed with him and gave him the solution. Genius, he thot... For it was the most difficult problem & some of his classmates were not able to crack it. Thanks to that Math problem. They became very good friends then and every year he used to go n get the raakhi tied on his wrist.
Now She is married and living happily but yet their bond is as good, fresh as ever... Long live their relationship.

Phoolon ka Taaroan ka
Sabka kehnaa hain
Ek hazaaroan mae
Meri behaanaa hain....
Saari umar hame sang rehanaa hain....

Once in a year this song rings in everyone's ear. But for me, this song has very special meaning. For it gave me a Raakhi sister n I got a family where in the people are very friendly n loveable.
Lalitha Jain. The name itself brings a grin on my face. She is my first Raakhi Sister (& Last one also.. :)) ). Lalitha, & her family - Paras, Kavitha, Jyothi, Uncle, and Aunty - they took so much care of me that I always enjoyed their company and I was so comfortable being with them... Pinky, as what they used to call Lalitha @ home, was very nice, intelligent and was always there when the need arose. But some how, I did not like that name Pinky. It sounded like as if you are calling a pup. Never mind, she is one of my all time fav.
Lalitha, You have a nice time and lead a happy life too...
