A Letter to Cleopatra

Dear Cleopatra,

Before you and I began our relationship, there were others. Most of them you know, and the way that you continually refute them leads me to believe that you, logical as you may be, are concerned that I may choose to embrace them instead of you.

Sure, I had heard of you more than once. Some of it was good, some not so good. Still, when we actually came in contact, I was moved. Your methodical ways satisfied every inch of my being and I was changed. I can never again look at the world in the same naive manner, nor would I want to. You have opened up the heavens to me.

Be that as it may, you must admit that our time, too, is limited. As our relationship progresses, I find it more and more difficult to be satisfied completely. Your degradation of others as a prelude to each idea is distressing. Perhaps you do it in an attempt to feel better about your own ideas, or maybe you think it makes you look better. Either way, it is wearying tactic. The constant digressions and reiterations of previous digestions cause me to wonder if we really are getting anywhere.

There are a few women that have caught my eye. They are sweet too, so you may know them...they certainly know you. One, Mirage, (whom, I consider as my mentor and positive criticiser). You envy her too. Arre she makes me feel good about myself and very good at heart. So pls don’t mistake a person of such caliber.
